Client Policies & Terms
Thank you for choosing Ally Lou Photography. These Client Policies & Terms are designed to make the photography experience clear, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone. By booking a session with Ally Lou Photography, you acknowledge and agree to the policies below.
Booking & Reservations
A photography session is not considered reserved until any required booking steps have been completed, including submission of requested information and payment of any applicable retainer or session fee.
Session availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payments
Pricing and payment requirements will be communicated before or during the booking process.
Any required retainer, deposit, or session fee must be paid according to the terms provided at booking.
Additional products, images, editing services, prints, travel fees, or other add-ons may result in additional charges when applicable.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Life happens, and Ally Lou Photography understands that plans sometimes need to change.
Clients should provide as much notice as possible when requesting to cancel or reschedule a session.
Rescheduling is subject to photographer availability. Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may require a new booking fee or retainer.
Any non-refundable payments or retainers will be identified before payment is collected.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time and ready for your scheduled session.
If you arrive late, the session may need to be shortened so that appointments scheduled afterward are not affected.
Significant delays may require the session to be rescheduled. Additional fees may apply when a new appointment is required.
Weather
For outdoor sessions, weather conditions may occasionally make photography unsafe or impractical.
Ally Lou Photography may recommend rescheduling due to rain, storms, extreme temperatures, unsafe travel conditions, or other circumstances outside our control.
Weather-related decisions will be made as reasonably close to the session as possible.
Children & Minors
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for minors participating in a photography session.
A parent, guardian, or authorized responsible adult should remain present when appropriate for the age of the child and type of session.
Client Cooperation
Great photographs depend on cooperation between the photographer and client.
Clients are responsible for arriving prepared and following reasonable instructions regarding positioning, location, timing, and safety.
Ally Lou Photography cannot guarantee specific photographs when circumstances outside the photographer's control prevent them from being captured.
Artistic Style
By booking Ally Lou Photography, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and are familiar with the photographer's general style.
Final photographs reflect Ally Lou Photography's creative judgment regarding composition, lighting, color, cropping, and editing.
Individual images may vary depending on lighting, location, weather, subjects, and the circumstances of the session.
Editing & Retouching
Standard editing may include adjustments to exposure, color, contrast, cropping, and other general image enhancements.
Advanced retouching or significant alterations may not be included in the standard session price and may be available for an additional fee.
Ally Lou Photography will not substantially alter a person's appearance unless specifically discussed and agreed upon.
Image Selection & Delivery
Only photographs selected for final delivery will be provided to the client.
Not every photograph taken during a session will be delivered. Images that are duplicates, test shots, out of focus, poorly exposed, or otherwise do not meet Ally Lou Photography's standards may be removed during the selection process.
Unedited or RAW image files are not included unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
Delivery methods and estimated turnaround times may vary depending on the type and size of the session.
Image Storage
Clients are encouraged to download and safely back up their final photographs after delivery.
Ally Lou Photography cannot guarantee permanent storage of client galleries or image files after final delivery.
Copyright
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Ally Lou Photography retains the copyright to photographs created by Ally Lou Photography.
Purchasing a photography session or receiving digital images does not transfer copyright ownership to the client.
Personal Use
Clients may download, print, and share delivered photographs for personal use unless different licensing terms have been provided.
Clients may share their photographs on personal social media accounts.
Clients may not sell photographs, use them commercially, submit them for commercial publication, or significantly alter the delivered images without permission from Ally Lou Photography.
Businesses receiving headshots, branding photographs, or other commercial photography may receive separate usage permissions appropriate to their session.
Social Media & Photo Credit
Clients are welcome to share their photographs on social media.
Photo credit to Ally Lou Photography is appreciated when sharing images online.
Filters or edits that significantly change the appearance of the finished photograph are discouraged because they may not accurately represent the photographer's work.
Portfolio & Promotional Use
Ally Lou Photography will respect the permissions provided by each client regarding the use of their photographs.
Photographs may only be used by Ally Lou Photography for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, or promotional purposes when the applicable agreement, model release, or client permission allows such use.
Special consideration will be given to photographs involving minors.
Safety
Safety is a priority during every session.
Ally Lou Photography reserves the right to stop, modify, relocate, or reschedule a session when the photographer believes conditions are unsafe for the client, photographer, equipment, or others.
Clients are responsible for informing the photographer of relevant location restrictions or safety concerns that may affect the session.
Locations, Permits & Fees
Some photography locations require reservations, permits, admission fees, parking fees, or photography fees.
Unless otherwise agreed, the client may be responsible for location-specific fees associated with their requested session location.
Equipment Failure & Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Ally Lou Photography takes reasonable precautions to protect photography equipment and image files.
In the unlikely event that a session cannot be completed or images cannot be delivered because of equipment failure, file corruption, serious illness, emergency, severe weather, or another circumstance beyond reasonable control, Ally Lou Photography will work with the client toward an appropriate solution, which may include rescheduling, re-photographing, or refunding applicable amounts.
Respectful Conduct
Ally Lou Photography is committed to providing a comfortable and respectful environment.
Harassment, threatening behavior, unsafe conduct, or abusive treatment of the photographer or others will not be tolerated and may result in the session ending immediately.
Policy Changes
These policies may be updated as Ally Lou Photography's services and business practices evolve.
The policies applicable to a specific paid session may also be supplemented by the photography agreement or contract provided for that session.
If a signed photography agreement conflicts with a general policy on this website, the terms of the signed agreement will govern that session.
